Data Center Services
Consilium Resources has proven experience in a broad spectrum of Data Center Services.
Our staff has been through building new sites, integrating sites and shutting down sites.
This is experience gained by actually working on corporate reorganizations, acquiring and divesting companies, and being acquired.
New Data Center Implementation -- Planning and construction of a new data center is a very complex endeavor -- environmental controls,
electrical, network wiring, telecommunications availability, single-point-of-failure elimination, safety, and ergonomic factors...
Multiple Site Consolidation, Standardization and Integration -- through a merger or acquisition you may have acquired another data center.
Or it may be a reorganization of business units to achieve economies of scale through standardization.
Aligning disparate hardware, software, and process standards is a huge technological effort.
Relocation -- relocating your business from across the street, across the city, or across the nation to new facilities is a combination of
either building a new data center or retrofitting an existing site combined with a variation on a permanent shut down.
Permanent Shut Down -- should be a simple as using the "Build a Data Center Project Plan" but just do it back to front.
The fact is data centers continually acquire and dispose of services, hardware assets, and software over years of operation.
This situation calls for a complete review of the technology inventory, asset valuation, services and maintenance terminations,
contract assignments or terminations, data/records archival, and equipment disposition.
Add to that the staffing required to execute this plan while your workforce may be leaving or already gone.
